Luxury Communities

Below are overviews of some of the communities in the Greater Boston area that have some of the finest luxury homes.

Boston & Neighborhoods

You can usually find over 250 luxury single families & condos in Boston and it's neighborhoods (Downtown/Midtown/South End/Back Bay/Beacon Hill/Waterfront) over $1,000,000. The most expensive homes in the Boston area are around $15,000,000. There is something for every taste, from brownstones, high-rise condos, to waterfront.

Newton

In Newton you will find fewer condos, only around a dozen, those generally less than $2,000,000, with mostly single families (more than 60) ranging up to $10,000,000. The higher priced homes in this area can be found with up to 2 acres of land.

Brookline

In Brookline you will often find more than 50 single families & condos over $1,000,000. General price range is up to $5,000,000. You will find condos, mid-rises, townhouses, all the way to large new construction single families with land.

Cambridge

Cambridge doesn't have as many luxury homes as it's neighbors, with generally around 30 on the market, those being a mix of condos and single families, you will still find great quality. The prices range up to $6,000,000. You will find detached singles and some mid-rise condos.

Dedham

Dedham has a very exclusive historic district. You will only find a handful of luxury properties here with prices ranging up to $2,000,000, with the occasional listing on the market much higher.

Dover/Sherborn

Dover and Sherborn share a school district so I've combined them here. You will find grand estates here, with sprawling acreage (a couple with more than 20 acres), and some horse properties. Almost exclusively single family homes up to $10,000,000.

Needham

Needham has few condos. You will mostly find single family homes, averaging around 30, from $1,000,000 to $3,500,000. These are often newer construction.

Milton

You will rarely find condos, with Milton being known more for single family homes, there being about 24 properties up to around $3,000,000.

Westwood

You will find around 30 single family listings up to $7,000,000. Many newer properties, most on acre+ lots, some with extremely large living areas.

Wellesley

Again, no condos in Wellesley, but you will find single family properties up to $6,000,000. These are generally larger homes, more than 3,000 sq. ft., with nicely sized yards.
